Behavioral health

 

If you need help finding care for a mental health condition or substance use disorder, or if you have questions about your behavioral health benefits, you can contact Anthem for assistance.

 We can help you find or schedule an appointment with a behavioral health specialist such as a therapist, psychiatrist, or substance use counselor.
 

 If you’re having difficulty locating a provider who can treat your mental health condition or substance use disorder, we have designated staff available to assist you — please call 844-483-0872 for dedicated support. 

 

Mental Health or Substance Use Crisis

 

If you are experiencing a mental health, substance use, or emotional crisis, you can call or text 988, or chat online at 988lifeline.org to connect with a trained crisis counselor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline provides free, confidential support to anyone in distress and to those supporting someone else.

When you contact 988, trained counselors will:

 Call 911 right away or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

 

You can always go to any hospital emergency department if you believe you are having a mental health or substance use emergency and need immediate care.
